M.S. Candidate in STEM Entrepreneurship
University of Notre Dame
I’m Kalule Samuel Kibirige, an Entrepreneurial Data Analyst with over 7 years of experience in the dynamic fields of Information Technology, data science, and business innovation. My journey has always been driven by a deep passion for leveraging data to solve complex problems, optimize business processes, and create impactful solutions in both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering, Science, and Technology Entrepreneurship at the University of Notre Dame. This program perfectly aligns with my passion for innovation and entrepreneurship, allowing me to expand my knowledge and skills in areas that I’m truly passionate about. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, where I graduated with honors.
I’m also actively engaged in the Applied Data Science Lab at WorldQuant University, where I continue to sharpen my data science expertise. These educational experiences have equipped me with a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of data science and entrepreneurship.
My professional experience has largely shaped who I am today. At Desllah Services and Supplies Ltd in Kampala, Uganda, I played a pivotal role as a Data Analyst, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drove significant improvements in business operations. One of my proudest achievements was leading an initiative to optimize inventory management, which resulted in a 50% reduction in excess inventory carrying costs.

My ability to use tools like Tableau to create compelling data stories has been key in helping non-technical stakeholders make informed, data-driven decisions. Prior to my role as a Data Analyst, I served as the IT Support and Network Administrator at Desllah, where I supervised a team and collaborated with decision-makers to implement technology solutions that significantly enhanced operational efficiency across the company.
Entrepreneurship has always been at the core of my professional journey. I co-founded and successfully launched a fish farming business that expanded across Uganda and Kenya, achieving a remarkable 200% revenue growth within just two years. This experience taught me invaluable lessons in business strategy, team management, and market expansion.
In addition, I founded a business that sourced and sold discounted shoes from China, reaching $10,000 in revenue within 22 months. This venture, which I started with just $1,500, highlighted my ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities. Moreover, I co-founded LeafApps, where we developed the first Luganda Bible app for Android, making religious texts more accessible to the Ugandan community.
Data has always been at the heart of what I do. I am deeply passionate about using data science to solve real-world problems. Whether it’s through building predictive models that assist in disaster preparedness or developing machine learning algorithms that enhance financial decision-making, my goal is to bridge the gap between complex data and actionable business insights.
As I continue to grow and evolve in my career, I am excited about the opportunities to apply my analytical intuition and entrepreneurial spirit to new challenges. I am particularly interested in areas such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and healthcare technology.
If you’re interested in collaborating, learning more about my work, or discussing potential opportunities, I would love to connect. Thank you for visiting my website!
